The most natural way to replace a missing tooth.

Porcelain Veneers

In as few as two dental visits, you can enjoy a completely new smile! Cosmetic dentistry is transforming lives through complete smile makeovers, and porcelain veneers lead the list of aesthetic treatments as a wildly popular procedure to change the shape, position, color, length and width of your teeth. Placing custom veneers requires a high degree of technical skill as well as attention to cosmetic detail.

Veneers are very thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a beautiful and attractive smile.

As with most dental restorations, veneers are not permanent and may someday need replacement. They are very durable and will last many years, giving you a beautiful long lasting smile.

REASONS FOR PORCELAIN VENEERS:

  • Cosmetically, to create a uniform, white, beautiful smile.
  • Crooked teeth.
  • Misshapen teeth.
  • Severely discolored or stained teeth.
  • Teeth that are too small or large.
  • Unwanted or uneven spaces.
  • Worn or chipped teeth.

WHAT DOES GETTING PORCELAIN VENEERS INVOLVE?

Getting veneers usually requires two visits to complete the process. The teeth are prepared by removing a thin layer of enamel and shaping the surface to allow your new veneers to lie flat, in line with your surrounding teeth. A mold or impression of your mouth is taken and a shade (color) will then be chosen by the dentist and you. Before you leave, temporary veneers will be placed over the prepared teeth. You may experience some sensitivity until the permanent veneers are placed.

On the second we will remove the temporary veneers and check the fit of your permanent veneers. you will be able to look at the shape, color and fit of your veneers before they are attached. After your approval, we will permanently bond the new veneers to the front surface of your teeth.

A special liquid will then be applied to the prepared teeth to achieve a durable bond. Next, bonding cement will be placed between the tooth and veneer and a special light is used to harden the cement.

You will receive care instructions for veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will extend the life of your new veneers.

I had a long overdue deep cleaning, root canal/crown, AND fillings within a month. Dr. Thurman, Morgan, Kathy and staff were very attentive and kind with not ONLY the procedures and explanations but with checking up on me after the root canal. Also great at helping me figure out my insurance coverage and payments. Dental Elements is GREAT.
